Nick D’Agosto will join “Heroes” in season 2 as a character named West, who will be Claire’s boyfriend. West will have powers, those have not been revealed.
I don’t know about you all, but what happened to Zack? I liked him and will miss him if they don’t bring him back. However the character caused a huge controversy, so my thoughts are the show wants to forget him. For those not in the know, originally it seemed the character was written as Claire’s gay friend. Later when they made it clear Zack wasn’t gay, there was a big hoopla over whether the show was ordered to change tactics with the character or not.
I wish Zach would come back as Clairs boyfriend!! I LOOOVVEDD him. I did not think he was gay at all!!! It came off to me that the jocks were just picking on him because he was better looking than them( just my opinion) lol. Anyways i miss him

He was gay, or at least intended to be. The head writer and the creator of the show as well as another writer both verified that they intended from the beginning for him to be gay, but apparently were too vague. So once Dekker’s (Zach) management realized where it was headed, they through a fit because they were afraid that him playing gay now would make Fox pass on casting him in the lead on the new Terminator series.
It was all a mess and offended me personally with how everybody handled it, but either way there is no way Zach is coming back. That ship has sailed. (Though semi-related: As an “apology” to the GLBT community for how the whole thing went down, they’re bringing in a lesbian girl next season. o_O)
As for West…he looks too “normal” for Claire. She needs someone edgier. 😛

so you can just replace one gay character with another and that’s okay? I didn’t like Zach because he was gay – or not gay. I liked him because he was a good and loyal friend to Claire.
