Straight Up Paula: Were You Drunk?
So did anyone watch the complete train wreck that was “Hey Paula” on Bravo this week? It was absolutely PAINFUL to watch. I really like Paula, but damn girl! She seemed to present her loopy behavior as her being silly and ditsy, oh and being an insomniac. Maybe the each and every human body reacts to sleep deprivation differently, but as someone who suffers from stress as well as insomnia, I do NOT act falling down drunk!
Through almost both shows (they showed 2 half hour episodes back to back) it was so obvious something was going on with Paula, and I’m not talkin insomnia. When she wasn’t acting whacked out, she was just a complete diva. She was angry that her assistants didn’t have comfy sweat pants and her white tennis shoes for her to wear on the plane, then forced them to dig through her luggage to find them. Mind you she had 15 minutes to make her plane at this point because she got lost and couldn’t find her limo, so she wandered around downtown LA looking for it! At one point she actually said “Why can’t people treat me like the prize I am.”
If you can’t tell from my glowing review, I will so be watching this train wreck again next week 🙂 If you missed it, catch it on re-runs. If you are legal, you may wish to choose to drink along with Paula in order to make it through the show.
The funniest part is that the whole reason Paula is doing the show (aside from revitalizing her dying career) is to show that she is normal and not a drug addict / drunk like the tabloids were saying.
Needless to say I think it is having the opposite effect. 😛 I felt so uncomfortable through the whole show. It was like one of those bizarre children’s programs that seem like an hour-long acid trip. Horrible.

I didn’t see the show, but I saw a couple of clips and promos…
Paula is mean!!! I wouldn’t work as her assistant for any amount of money.

I gave you, Dustin, the benefit of the doubt in watching this show. They showed 2 repeats today. The first episode was good, but then I was troubled by the end of the second episode. I’m not sure if I’ll watch this show.

Awe! I missed the shows! She’s losing it! I don’t know on which show she was being interviewed but she said she had her own perfume. Then she started saying what kind of perfume would suit Simon. Something related to pee… Anyway, I didn’t find her funny at all, just plain nasty! She’s really got a chip on her shoulder. She should be grateful to be in the limelight again with American Idol. Or else, she would be totally forgotten!
Whatever damage control she’s trying to do is going right down the drain. I thought it couldn’t get worst then Britney Spears’ reality show, guess I was wrong!
