Last night’s “Heroes” was a bit more like last season, with the episode focusing on select heroes stories, but not all of them. The first few episodes this season tried to fit everyone in each episode, which had pluses and minuses. I liked the break from the Peter and Hiro story to focus on Matt a bit more as he’s one of my favorite characters. I’d also really like to see more of Nathan too.

Angela plead guilty to Kato’s murder, even though she didn’t do it. Why is she pleading guilty? The killer once got to her in jail before! Matt and Nathan teamed up, Nathan had the original photo of the group somewhere in old family photos. They found it, in the photo was Bob, the guy now running the company . . . and Matt’s father!

Matt, fearing his dad could be in danger, or the killer, asked Molly to find him. She of course freaked, he is the big bad from her nightmares. She did agree to eventually find him, but got too close and now seems trapped in her own mind begging Matt to help her. For those who don’t realize, Matt’s dad is hiding in Philadelphia, that was the skyline shown. I can’t wait to see how they shoot in downtown Philly for these scenes 🙂 As far as I know, they never really came to Philly, but we shall see.

Down in Nawlins, we met a new hero, Micah’s cousin Monica. She is just now realizing she has powers. It seems she has the ability to learn new skills very quickly simply by seeing something. Not the greatest of powers, so I wonder what they’ll do with her?

Maya and Alejandro escaped with Derek and met up with . . . . Syalr! Sylar somehow escaped the jungle/forest he was in last time to end up in the middle of the desert? Okay! They picked him up and of course he realized that Maya had powers because she needed to get to Surresh. When Derek realized Maya and Alejandro were killers, during a rest stop where he saw their wanted signs, Sylar killed him. It’s clear Sylar seems after Maya’s powers, but he was shocked when he learned her powers and her brother’s are connected! This might just save both their lives, as I don’t know if Sylar could actually control the power given it clearly takes two.

Meanwhile Claire keeps sneaking out to meet West and go flying around. She’s lied to her dad, who thinks she’s dating. She claimed she tried out and made the cheer leading team, she needs something that feels normal to her. He agreed she could cheer lead, but no dating. Seems he’s worried his death will come at his hands! Given West can fly, does anyone think he may be related to Nathan and/or Peter? Of course that would mean Claire is dating her own brother or cousin!

Here are screen caps of the revealing photo of the original company!

Desperate Housewives: Brownies For Everyone!

Desperate Housewives: Brownies For Everyone!

Posted by Dustin on 10.15.2007 at 7:31 pm

Okay I actually have to watch this week’s DH again. IT was on my TV, I somewhat watched it, but not fully. I considered turning it off half way through, but didn’t. I only know a little of what happened, but enough.

Basically it seemed like a slooooooow episode to me, which is why I wasn’t completely captivated. In a nutshell, Gabrielle learned Carlos and Edie were “engaged” and was furious. Victor meanwhile made threats to Carlos, saying he doesn’t know how Carlos didn’t kill John the Gardner for sleeping with Gabby. Carlos said going to prison over a woman wasn’t worth it. Victor said there were ways to make someone disappear. Hmmmm, does Victor know or suspect?

Susan tried to get Bree’s OBGYN to use, Bree unknowingly sent her to a clinic on the bad side of town. Later Bree claimed to Susan there was an issue with her baby and she almost lost it, she didn’t want anyone to know about it and that’s why she lied about her doctor. Dang, I thought for a moment Bree was going to spill the beans.

Lynette’s mom bought weed from Andrew, made pot brownies and had the kids give them to Lynette! She knew Lynette wouldn’t smoke the weed herself to help with the chemo, so she tricked her. BEst part of the whole episode was Lynette showing up high as a kite to Susan’s charade’s party!

Finally Bree let the cat out of the bag about what she heard over at Katherine’s, and Gabby spilled all to Katherine that they knew she had a secret. Also Julie basically told Dylan which room in the house was really her old room, she couldn’t remember. The end of the episode had Katherine weeping over a gash in the floor she had covered up with a rug.

Like I said, I have to go back and re-watch, I know I missed a lot. I loved stoned Lynette. I would actually love to see Andrew be given a bigger part in the show. Nice to see him back, but he’s such an interesting character and not much is being done with him. Yes, I think Bree is going to be in for a huge shock when the baby is born and it turns out to be of mixed race. I don’t think she’s even thought of that possibility yet 🙂 The whole Gabby/Carlos/Edie situation is really getting on my nerves! As for Dylan and Katherine’s secret, I just can’t figure this one out. I definitely think Dylan’s dad is dead dead dead and either Dylan, Katherine or her new husband are responsible. Katherine and the new hubby Adam are definitely covering it up for sure.

Private Practice: Blue Like Smurfs

Private Practice: Blue Like Smurfs

Posted by Dustin on 10.15.2007 at 7:21 pm

So I finally caught up with “Private Practice” as well last night. I have to say this was probably my favorite episode so far!

First the run down as to what happened. Addison had to help a newly wed couple have a magical wedding night. The woman had an issue with her vajayjay that essentially made sex painful. Addison was forced to turn to Pete for help. Pete dealt with the anniversary of his wife’s death, we learned he basically hated his wife and her death had lead to issues for him, given he hated her. Violet helped a patient essentially get the courage to leave his wife, but in the end he stayed with her as it turned out she had a terminal illness (which she lied to him about having). Violet deleted her own ex’s last message from her answering machine. Cooper dealt with the mystery as to what was making a woman’s girls turn blue and become ill. Turns out their were playing in a neighbor’s shed near poisonous fertilizer. Finally Naomi dealt with her anger over Sam leaving her and the fact that she still wanted him.

So why did I like this episode so much? I have to say it was Violet and Cooper’s story lines that made it for me. I know this show was devised as a spin-off for Addison, but I have to say I am not liking Addison! It just seems since moving to LA and joining this show she’s developed this “Poor me, my life sucks, this situation sucks” attitude. I just want to say shut up and stop whining! Cooper and Violet made the episode for me, as well as Naomi and her cake fetish. I don’t know how all you felt about it or the show in general, you can chime in with comments. I’m just wondering though, are they wanting us to be annoyed with Addison or are we supposed to feel sorry for her? It seems to me to make the “star” of the spinoff annoying isn’t exactly a great gameplan!

Dirty Sexy Money: Sex Tape!

Dirty Sexy Money: Sex Tape!

Posted by Dustin on 10.15.2007 at 7:09 pm

So last night I finally watched last week’s “Dirty Sexy Money.” OMG this show flip flops its plot more than a soap!

Nick found a folio on one Simon Elder in his dad’s briefcase, and Trip claimed that would be the man he should look into if he was going to blame anyone for his father’s murder. Trip offered to help, but Nick turned him down. Trip swore he didn’t have anything to do with Dutch’s death, even confessing he lied to Nick and didn’t know about the affair between his wife and Dutch. He only said he did to save face, so he claimed.

Nick took the folio to the police, they wouldn’t help him out of either fear or bribery. Trip again asked Nick to let him help him with this. We still don’t know anything about this Simon guy though, other than he’s a billionaire. There was a quick mention that he originally came over from Russia? Also something about either prison or a patent, I couldn’t head that scene very well.

Most of the show centered around a sex tape scandal. Naturally it was assumed it involved Patrick. Patrick, who decided to run for Senate, was forced to dump his transsexual mistress. This basically killed him to do, he got drunk and crashed the limo right before he was to give a speech at a charity banquet. Later Patrick eventually decided he was going to run, but get back with his mistress Carmelita.

The sex taped of course ended up being Karen’s. Nick attempted to buy it, but someone else bought it. We learned at the end of the show that Simon bought it and had it all delivered to Nick. He was told Nick’s daddy wasn’t who he thought he was, and neither was his boss.

OMG! More twists. Once again it looks like Dutch’s death is Trip’s doing. I can’t figure this show out. I’m also wondering what happens when they solve Dutch’s death. That was pretty much the almost downfall of “Desperate Housewives” in season 2 after Mary Alice’s suicide was solved. Again I foresee Dutch not having died at all, that will be the big finale twist (assuming the show doesn’t get canned by ABC).

Ugly Betty: Black and White Ball

Ugly Betty: Black and White Ball

Posted by Dustin on 10.14.2007 at 7:20 pm

So here is what I can recall from last week’s “Ugly Betty” from memory and notes. I need to try not to do these so far after watching them 🙂

Henry told Betty he knew about Charlie the Cheater, and that the baby might not be his. However they can’t to a DNA test until the baby is so many weeks old, so now we are all stuck waiting!

Meanwhile it seems like Betty might not be waiting for long. This week she met Gino, the sandwich guy at Mode. However when he wouldn’t make her sandwich the way she wanted, she complained and Gino got fired. Later he realized it was all good, as the job was holding him back from his dream of opening his own place. As they talked and bonded, Gino made Betty realize she was losing her dream of owning her own magazine by getting caught up in Mode. He got her back to thinking and working on her own writing. As cute as I think Henry and Betty are, there was something fun to these two! I don’t know, I think I might find myself torn soon if they keep this up. I love Betty and Henry, but honestly they never really ever started anything.

Amanda found out she wasn’t a Mead. This made me a bit sad. Of course it would have been gross for her and Daniel had they turned out to be siblings, but it could have been fun for us to see Willamina squirm at the thought she was a Mead. Now the question of who the daddy is comes up. We don’t really know anything much about Fey’s past, so I can’t even begin to guess here. I can’t even recall if we ever met anyone males other than Bradford with a past connection to Fey. Amanda later tried to show up at the Black and White Ball being thrown for charity in a red outfit to make a scene as “Fey’s long lost daughter,” but failed miserably.

My hatred for Wilamena intensified this week as she manipulated Alex by telling her they were best of friends, and that Bradford and her were to be married but he postponed the wedding because of her. Grrrr! Claire meanwhile confronted Bradford at the Black and White ball to convince him to run away with her, but he wouldn’t and said they ended when she killed Fey. I have a sneaking suspicion something will happen and we’ll learn Claire DIDN’T kill Fey, that she has been lead to think she did and was probably sloshed at the time and can’t remember it. I wouldn’t be surprised if we learn Wilamena is the real killer.

Justin and Daniel did some bonding over Justin losing his dad, and Justin basically found out Daniel has been faking not learning to walk.

Finally Ignacio was held hostage by Rosa’s ex-husband (well legal husband) and his son. It appears though that the son, who was abused (emotionally) by his father his whole life killed the father and let Ignacio go. Ignacio returned home by the end of the episode. Since we didn’t see who was killed, only heard a gun shot and lead to believe there was a killing, I have a feeling this story isn’t over either!

Grey’s Anatomy: George Admits It!

Grey’s Anatomy: George Admits It!

Posted by Dustin on 10.13.2007 at 10:06 pm

So let’s talk about this week’s “Grey’s Anatomy.” This is of course is from what I can recall and the notes I had jotted down.

Christina played the pity card to get Meredith to give her good surgeries, but fortunately Meredith caught onto her little scam. Meanwhile Meredith attempted to help Lexie this week by teaching her, but Lexie just felt Meredith was being mean and nasty to her and letting her patient, who was already dead when he came in, die. Bailey gave Meredith some advice, and the two sisters had a little bonding moment as Meredith sat down with Lexie and explained about the night her mom came in and died.

Alex got a new intern, who was ancient according to him. Of course with age came knowledge right? Old Intern thought so, and Alex didn’t seem to want to contradict him. So when a kid was brought in for acting distant, the mother was sure it was drugs and Old Intern pretty much agreed. Alex soon learned they were both wrong and the kid had some issue in his brain. Bailey of course came in and told Old Intern he was wrong and Alex was wrong for listening to him because of his age, they had a pecking order here for a reason, it saves lives. Loved it!

Later Bailey went to Callie and basically told her that she would help her out with her job, as she could see she was having a difficult time doing it.

Izzy’s patient this week was Old Coma Guy, who woke up from his coma to announce he was going to die today. Izzy wouldn’t believe it, but later on he in fact did die. Guess he knew it was his time.

Finally the moment of the whole show came at the end when George finally told Callie that he slept with Izzy! I can’t wait to see where this goes. Finally maybe we can see some resolution one way or the other.

Last week’s “Private Practice” is still on my Tivo to be watched!

Bionic Woman: Sisterhood

Bionic Woman: Sisterhood

Posted by Dustin on 10.11.2007 at 1:05 pm

The latest episode of “Bionic Woman” focused on what is going on with Sarah Corvus and what she wants from Jamie. This episode actually aggravated me as I couldn’t figure out what is really going on!

Sarah, we learn, is dying. Something is wrong, we don’t know exactly what. Basically we learned that her younger sister died in a car accident, Sarah blamed herself as she was driving and pushing the petal to the metal on a dare. This apparently lead Sarah to go downhill and come unhinged. Comments were made even before she became bionic she was a loose cannon.

After Jae shot and killed Sarah, Will Anthros somehow brought her back. She was a bit off the rocker before as she lost it and went on a killing spree. Unfortunately whatever Will did to bring her back from dead has made things worse. She is losing control, she has become a total machine according to her and she says she’ll be dead within a year.

Will’s father, who escaped from jail with Sarah’s help, is helping her try and fix what is wrong. He’s the one who made her. He’s been giving her drugs to keep her in control of herself, but says they need to compare Jamie’s bionics to hers and figure out if Jamie can help save her.

Okay what I don’t get is why is Anthros Sr. helping Sarah at all given she killed his son? That confused me. Clearly Anthros Sr. is a bad guy, but are the drugs he’s giving Sarah helping her or making things worse? I get the feeling he just wants to get to Jamie, Sarah is just a means to that. Jamie of course doesn’t trust Sarah and said she couldn’t help her. Sarah went nuts and threatened to kill Jamie’s sister, pushed by Anthros who claimed it would help them bond and Jamie to relate to her. Jamie reached what human part was left in Sarah to convince her not to, but then warned her if she ever came near them again she’d kill Sarah. Sarah was then forced to run as Jamie used her bionics and tracker in her to alert the team to Sarah’s presence.

I still want to say Will is alive, that he’s not really dead. I think his death must have been faked for some reason. Perhaps Anthros Sr. even knows this somehow? Otherwise he’s one SOB of a father for not caring about his son’s death.
