American Idol: The Girls Barely Brought It
Last night the girls on AI performed, and well, I didn’t think it was that good. Honestly I’m watching them and saying things that make me feel like Simon! Carly Smithson, who started with a Heart song, and Brooke White who did Carly Simon, were really the only outstanding performers of the night. A few others were good, just not great. Others were downright horrible.
I honestly don’t know what to think of the competition this year. I mean right now there are only a handful of people who I think should even be in the whole thing. I think I could not watch for about 3-4 weeks, tune back in and see everyone I expect to be there on the screen. I don’t know who will go home tonight for the girls honestly, there were so many to pick from.
Agreed on all fronts. Makes you wish that the top 12 didn’t have to be 6 guys and 6 girls….

I watched last night’s and I agree that Carly and Brooke were really great but Kristy was good too. Considering how she did last week, it was a huge improvement. I hope she’s back next week, I kind of want to see how she will do. I am on the fence about who will go home. It will probably be Alexandrea, Ramiele, or Amanda. In my opinion they were the worst performers of the night.

None of the girls stood out for me. If any of them released an album I wouldn’t buy it. I don’t mind Carly but for me she sounds like she’s yelling in some of the higher notes. Brooke is very cute but I’d like to see her do a song with more emotion. The Carly Simon song, in my opinion, should be sung a bit more aggressively and with a touch of anger, not all smiley and happy. But it is nice to have someone with such a positive attitude on the show. My guesses for who’s going home:
Alexandrea and the Rocker Chick
Jason Yeager and Robbie or Danny.
Apparently on the dialidol site Jason was no where close to the bottom so maybe he’s not leaving.

And that’s if I can only pick 4.
