Ghost Whisperer Meets Twilight?

Ghost Whisperer Meets Twilight?

Again in my opinion, this week we got another lackluster episode of “Ghost Whisperer.” However unlike last week’s voodoo house episode, at least this one made sense!

In this episode a girl at Ned’s school was being haunted by a boy who liked her and moved away long ago. However she, being into vampire lore as with a large percentage of the current teen girl population, thought she was being seduced by a vampire. She also thought the vampire was a boy in her school that she liked. The ghost was using the vampire lore to try and convince her to basically commit suicide so they could be together. Melinda helped both the girl and the ghost in the end.

Frankly, the whole episode was simply exploiting the “Twilight” craze going on. There was very little to do with Jim/Sam and Melinda’s upcoming wedding. They did at least address the parents issue. Jim’s mom was being invited, but not yet told about the whole Sam/Jim thing. For now Sam was the nice man who was going to help her raise Jim’s baby. Sam’s parents would be told later on down the road.

Oddly enough, the one character I hated in the beginning of the season is the one I was most interested in this and the last episode. Eli seems to be suffering from “lonely heart syndrome,” especially since Melinda got back with Jim/Sam. In the past two episodes he’s interacted with a college at the university who is much more like Payne was, into the anthropology of the occult. From words exchanged, it seems they have a past together. I hope she is kept around, she could make things fun!

  1. Definitely was not my favorite episode. I’m not a teenage girl nor am I in to the whole Twilight thing, so it really did nothing for me. For just finding out she’s pregnant, Melinda sure does have a huge baby bump! I thought she was only 4 months along or so? I guess since I’ve never been pregnant, either, I can’t really comment too much lol.

I have to admit, I am actually liking Eli more as the season goes on. He’s no replacement for Payne, but he works. It seemed to me that perhaps Zoe and Eli had a thing at one point, but I may have read that whole dynamic incorrectly. I’m really hoping the finale pans out! Man, with both Fringe and GW ending next week, my life is going to be really empty 😛
