True Blood: Something Attacked Sookie

True Blood: Something Attacked Sookie

I’m doing things a bit different this week. I’m posting my thoughts first to get them out there, and will later add in some kind of a recap as to the events of the show.

My Thoughts
First up, I am so glad Lafayette is out of that basement, but I don’t think his troubles are over. I’m assuming since he wasn’t stuffed in the ground, he isn’t a vampire. But since we don’t know for sure what happened after feeding time, who knows. From the previews of Eric taunting him from his windows though, it doesn’t look good for Lafayette either way.

I didn’t get what Sam was up to with his “running away.” He said he wasn’t running. Was he going to try and find something or someone to deal with Maryanne?

By the end of the episode we finally got an answer to why the heck this new character Daphne is being kept around. When she went to go swimming with Sam in that pond her back was scratched up like Sookie’s was. So clearly they got attacked by the same creature. What was the thing that attacked them? Was it Maryanne? Cause I swore Daphne’s eyes went black like everyone at Maryanne’s party were. Also how did Daphne live, as that crazy doctor woman working on Sookie said she would die from the attack. BTW, that scene with her sticking her fingers into the claw marks, YUCK.

The scene at Maryanne’s party with Andy and the pig was hilarious, though confusing. I remember the pig from last season and Tara’s drunk driving accident I think (or was it a cow?).

I was so glad that by the end of the episode Tara began to realize something was up with Maryanne, though I think at this point she just suspects Maryanne is some swinger who throws orgies. But from the previews it looks like she does move out and in with Sookie.

I’m hoping Bill and Sookie’s trip to Dallas will be fun and bring something new for them, though I have a feeling it will bring about this rumored love triangle with Eric. Eric clearly wants Sookie, though she can’t stand him at all, especially after he held Lafayette.

Jessica finding a boyfriend in the shy guy at the bar was cute, but at the same time . . . isn’t she supposed to be underage? Well I guess she’s dead now, so she doesn’t really have an age anymore.

  1. I think it was a pig. When Tara had her accident, the policewoman thought she was really out of it when Tara said she swerved to miss a naked lady and a big pig.

I didn’t notice that everyone’s eyes were black. Interesting.

I thought the creature that attacked Sookie was a werewolf, but then Eric mentioned something about a werewolf – did anyone catch what he said?

Loved how the church guy said that his wife must really like Jason because she doesn’t give her pudding for just anyone!

  2. Sookie described it as a bull though, and that is kinda a glimpse of what we saw.

Eric’s people however only found human tracks, but the stench of an animal.

At one point though yes, Eric said something about a werewolf. I forget what it was in relation to though.

  3. The creature looked like the Minnotaur from greek mythology to me.

I’m pretty sure Tara swerved to avoid a naked lady and a pig.
