Brothers and Sisters: What the BLEEP is Narrow Lake!

Brothers and Sisters: What the BLEEP is Narrow Lake!

So we still have many unanswered questions after the latest episode of “Brothers and Sisters” and I am getting annoyed I have to say. I want some answers!

Robert learned he didn’t get his top secret job, which would have meant relocating to D.C. We still, however, don’t know what it is! He didn’t get it and still won’t tell us or Kitty. Seriously? He didn’t get the job because of his heart condition and elevated heart rate. My guess is that was a big clue, and Robert is going to have a fatal heart attack soon.

Luc has only a week or so left before he has to leave. He is sure he’ll be back, but Sarah isn’t as confident. Luc wanted to leave his things with her as a show he’d be back, but all Sarah could think is that the airlines will see him as a terrorist if he’s taking a one way trip with little to no things.

Kevin still remained upset with his mom, who was planning a birthday party for him that he was refusing to attend. They did work things out though. Kevin felt his dad kept the truth from him because he thought Kevin was weak, which is what York told him. Nora said that wasn’t true, and William never really knew Kevin. Nora confided she always knew he was gay, she knew what happened that night and what was going on, but she needed Kevin to come out to her in his own time.

Tommy still remains around and he, Kevin and Justin attempted to make a deal with York to get him to back off. York however knew Ojai was in trouble, banks are calling in loans and it’s only a matter of time before he can buy them out. Rebecca sunk her 2 million dollars her mom gave her in the company to buy them time. It worked, and they got geological reports on Narrow Lake. However yet again . . . they still can’t figure out what it is and why it’s worth so much. I’m so annoyed, I am dying to know the secret. I have a feeling we are going to be strung along until the season finale on this one.

The good news came at the end of the show with Kevin and Scotty getting the news that their surrogate is finally pregnant. Next week, from the previews, it looks like someone else in the family may also be pregnant.

So, anyone have any new guesses on what the heck Narrow Lake is?

  1. There were a lot of comments about a high water table under the soil but I have NO CLUE what that could do. My first thought was maybe it would be a great vineyard but that would take some time.

  2. It would be good for agriculture and different crops.

My guess is you could also turn it into a damn or resevoir possibly. Sell it to uncle Sam? Wait uncle Sam could just emminant domain it lol.

  3. You can flood the valley making it a resevoir/lake. Then, you could sell the water (to a municipal or in little plastic bottles) and also sell real-estate around the lake because everyone wants to retire on a lake in CA, right? I vote for the bottled water idea, because it would be a new business line for Ojai that they could have lots of events and ideas and plot twists around.

  4. Okay I like the groundwater idea a lot. And I agree it could be used to water crops. I am unsure of how much wealth this would bring in though because whatever your predictions are, remember Dennis York wants the land knowing it has value of some sort. I think that could bring value, but there would be expenses up-front for extraction and equipment into the area where Narrow Lake is.

I am kinda thinking (might be way off) maybe William Walker faked his death? I cannot remember the details of the first episode, but that would be totally crazy if somehow he did not really die. Sure he wrote the Narrow Lake song a long time ago, but it pertains a lot to “we” and “lets” and it ends with “we will follow the dream into our future, you and I. ” What if he is still alive?

Also: would a geological survey be able to find a kimberlite mine? Maybe there are diamonds (“gleam in your eye”). Just tossing ideas out there.

I have been thinking of this like ever since I heard about narrow lake. I know, lol, I need a life. I just love this show and am anxious to hear what Narrow Lake involves already!
