Glee: I Heart Puck and Lauren!

Glee: I Heart Puck and Lauren!

Posted by Dustin on 02.09.2011 at 7:34 pm

So it was like Christmas this week, “Glee” was back with TWO new episodes!

First up was the football game themed episode that followed the Super Bowl. The team had made it to the high school version of the Super Bowl, but team work among the members was an issue as Karofsky and others would not play nice with the glee club members. Beastie and Shue decides to have the entire football team join glee club for a half-time show. Of course they protested, and Karofsky was the one who spoke out loudest. But in the end, they joined because it was the only way for them to play and win. There was a small second where it seemed like Karofsky was not only going to change his ways, but come out. However it didn’t happen. He did however love shaking his ass to Thriller, and as Mr. Shue noted, he was damn good. The next time he wails on Kurt, I really hope Kurt outs his ass.

The Valentine’s Day episode was the second new episode, which centered around love torn couples. Quinn and Finn found themselves attracted to one another again. Nooooooo! Why is the show going here? Not only are they going there, but they are making Finn see fireworks and then tell Rachel (well he didn’t say it but alluded to it) that he never saw them with her. Grrrrr! I don’t want these two together.

Puck meanwhile had found a whole lotta woman in Lauren, who as he put it, was as big of a badass as him. I have to say, I LOVED these two together. Lauren is quickly becoming one of my favorite characters, so I hope they keep her around. Santana of course was not happy to lose her man Puck. The end of the show seemed to hint Sam and Santana hooking up, as they gave each other looks at Kurt’s “Lonely Hearts Club Valentines Day Gathering”

Boooooo to Blaine for being an idiot and hurting Kurt by crushing on another guy. Really Blaine? Also, as much as I like Blaine and Kurt, I’m OVER the Warblers. They are boring boring boring. Also all they ever feature is Blaine. I guess in part that’s because he’s the only character over there we are supposed to be invested in. But the lot of them are stuck up preppies. It’s time for Kurt to return to New Directions and OUT Karofsky!

I am not a Katie Perry fan, but Lea Michelle nailed Fireworks. I mean that was an amazing performance, and way better than Katie’s in my opinion.

Audra McDonald, Naomi, Leaves Private Practice

Audra McDonald, Naomi, Leaves Private Practice

Even though she’s been very MIA this season, Ausiello at TVLine.com has confirmed that Audra McDonald will depart the show at the end of the season.

The actress lives in New York, and her flying schedule to film in LA became too much. Ausiello says in his article that Naomi still may make guest appearances from time to time.

This to me of course means the continuation of AddiSam. Hope that Sam and Naomi may reunite now seems all but dead.

When Gwyneth Paltrow returns as Holly Holiday for an episode, she’s slated to sing “Kiss.” Teacher has hots for Will, which should stir some jealousy in Emma! Ausiello (now at TVLine.com) reports that Emma will be the new teacher sponsor of the school’s celibacy club.

Grey’s Baby Bombs and Private Practice Weddings

Grey’s Baby Bombs and Private Practice Weddings

Posted by Dustin on 02.06.2011 at 9:17 pm

“Grey’s Anatomy” and “Private Practice” both returned this week. It’s been awhile since we saw “Practice.” Some thoughts on each . . . .

I loved all the scenes of Callie, Mark and Arizona with the new baby doc, as well as them all working things out. Arizona telling Callie that it was their baby was sweet, but I also liked her telling Callie she was to never cheat on her again. Frankly I’d be a little concerned that Callie switched back to the other team so easily . . . .

However poor Lexie . . . she did NOT take the news well. Her line that it was unbelievable that Mark had put her in this position twice was a good one. I do hope they can work things out, as I want them together.

Christina and Jackson going against one another for Teddy’s surgery was great. It’s good to have Christina back. I however also am looking forward to more scenes with Teddy and Hubby Henry.

Derek began his Alzheimer trials, picking Alex to be his right hand man, pissing Meredith off of course. In the end Alex realize he sucked at it, and told him Meredith was the one helping him what to say and how to handle the patients all day long. In the end Meredith came on board. This storyline was really depressing though, with one of the first patients getting a placebo instead of the trial drug. In his states, he forgot who his wife was and thought he was married to another woman who was in his nursing home. Very very depressing!

Of course the best storyline on the whole show was Bailey becoming a Twitter star, tweeting her surgeries, and Chief also becoming an addict and sold on Twitter as a teaching tool. If you have Twitter, you can follow Bailey. Her tweets during the hour matched up to the storyline on the show, which was fun.

Also if you have an iPad, they now have a Grey’s Sync app out that syncs with each new first run episode as you watch on your TV. It puts out fun behind the scenes facts about the scenes, polls and more. It was really neat, I had a lot of fun using it while watching the show. Highly recommended!

On “Practice,” Bizzy and her lover Susan’s wedding occurred, with Susan checking out of the hospital for it, even though she knew the cancer had returned. She just wanted this one day for her and Bizzy. Of course it also meant we knew where the whole episode was headed. At the very end, as they shared their first dance, Susan dropped to the floor.

Addison, panicked over the other doctor at the hospital flirting with her constantly, panicked and asked Sam to marry her. Naomi then gave her hell, rightly so, saying she sucked at relationships and when they get real, she screws them up. Addison took back her proposal, but at the same time promised to not screw up her relationship with Sam. Uh huh! She always does. Frankly I still don’t like them together, so I wouldn’t mind if she screwed it up. Though it would really wreck her friendship with Naomi.

Finally Charlotte was able to overcome her intimacy problems with Cooper, and the two got it on in the bathroom during the wedding. Classy! However next week her attacker checks into the hospital, having been stabbed by his wife. Charlotte is then given the chance for revenge . . . letting him die! It looks to be an awesome episode.

Pretty Little Liars Season Finale Spoiler!

Pretty Little Liars Season Finale Spoiler!

Posted by Dustin on 02.04.2011 at 2:32 pm

A few of the stars from “Pretty Little Liars” were on Ryan Seacrest’s radioshow this morning. They kinda revealed a spoiler, but not really . . . . .

We will come very close to finding out who -A is, and who killed Alison, at the end of the current season . . . . however it doesn’t sound like we’ll be told for sure who they are.

For those of you like me, still trying to get through the books, it looks like there is still time to finish them before the show reveals who the culprits are. There is also the possibility that the show will deviate some from the books.

Reality Round-Up!

Reality Round-Up!

Posted by Dustin on 02.03.2011 at 7:14 pm

So while the majority of America is gaga for “The Bachelor,” or getting their Tylor fill on “American Idol,” most of my Reality TV viewing as of late has been on cable. I will tune back into “Idol” when they get down to Hollywood and the top contestants to see if anyone strikes my fancy. I do have to say though, there seems to be a heavy load of country people going through from the auditions I’ve watched. That’s not my genre of music unfortunately.

“RuPaul’s Drag Race” on Logo is on Season 3 and is a guilty pleasure. It’s “Project Runway” meets “Drag” basically, and it’s so much fun. This season though, it’s so bitchy! They found some bitch bitch queens who are down right nasty to each other. Loves it!

Then there is “Tabitha’s Salon Takeover” on Bravo, just don’t call her a bitch! I love this show because I love watching Tabitha give these salon owners hell. There is something about the show . . . . especially when after all her hard work she returns weeks later to find the salon’s still a $h!thole!

My new favorite though is SyFy’s new show “Face-Off.” If you haven’t been watching this one, you need to! It’s “Project Runway,” but with full body make-up effects. The first week they made creatures, this past week they had to body paint someone to be worked into an artistic backdrop somehow, and next week they are doing aliens. The show is fantastic, and again has it’s share of drama filled contestants. Also for soap fans, “Passions’” McKenzie Westmore (Sheridan Crane) is the host.

Parenthood: Edibles For All!

Parenthood: Edibles For All!

Posted by Dustin on 02.03.2011 at 7:12 pm

I have to say, I’m about over Haddie’s storyline, or at least her attitude. I get she’s a teen, and therefore she doesn’t want to listen to her parents. But she’s making the entire deal about the fact that the guy she likes is black and that’s the issue. She doesn’t seem to want to hear. no matter how many times she’s told, it’s that he’s 19 and an newly recovering alcoholic. The only part that interested me of this whole storyline was learning a bit about Christina’s past, that the reason she’s keeping her heels dug in is because her mother ran off with her father at a young age, and it turned out her father was a horrible person that made her life hell. Other than that, I feel like this storyline has been done so many times on every other family drama.

I loved Adam’s boss giving him the edible marijuana pop and getting him high. Best part of the show. I also loved the guys crashed Julia’s boring ass wedding shower for Jasmine and made it fun. I would like to see the story focus a bit more on Julia and Sam and this supposed baby they want to have. Their relationship hasn’t been featured too much as of late.

I’m also looking forward to John Corbit beginning his run as Sarah’s ex Seth. That should be good.

V for Vatican!

V for Vatican!

Posted by Dustin on 02.02.2011 at 11:28 am

So I will admit, I got a bit bored with the latest “V” and probably missed some things. I still have not gotten used to or even like the Chad Decker character, so when he’s featured too much, I tend to zone out.

I did find it amusing when Anna blackmailed the Catholic church into silencing priests speaking out about the Visitors. However that’s only one church. How will she stop them all?

Tyler trashing Father Jack’s office/church and spray painting “V” in it was interesting, a different twist from the original where “V” was to mean victory and was used against the Visitors.

With Anna being successful and getting the church to throw out priests who provoke violence or speak against her, it looks like Jack is in big trouble. I am getting the feeling they are leading toward making Jack available to be with Erica romantically.

It looks like Erica’s boss at the FBI might be bad, as he’s assigning a new partner to her and it looks like he wants to keep track of her and what she’s really up to.

The final scenes with Diana and the Priest were awesome. I wish they’d use her more. I figured the soul would be their salvation, not their undoing, as Anna thinks. By the time she’s done with Earth, most humans won’t want to help the good Vs.

The previews of next week look interesting as The Fifth Column attempts to assassinate Anna at a public event? It seems like a play on the old show where they tried to reveal the truth about The Visitors live on TV during a press event.
