Grimm: Munchy Munchy!

So on the latest episode of “Grimm” we learned a lot of interesting tidbits.

First, we learned what the heck has been up with Sgt. Wu and his weird eating habits. Is he a “monster?” Nope, he just has a very real world psychological eating disorder that makes one eat bizarre objects. All his crazy cravings caused him to pass out, and the surgeons at the hospital removed a ton of stuff that had been stuck in his abdomen. However it seems that this was brought on because he ate cookies laced with a love potion meant for Hank, and because the wrong person took it, things went very wrong. But the eating disorder is a real thing.

Nick learns that Hank’s new girlfriend is Adalind, the Hexenbeast who he did battle with in the first few episodes. She ended up bewitching Hank and Wu with a love potion, and it was up to Nick to counter it. With Monroe’s help (and Monroe’s new girlfriend), he learns he can counter the potion by disable Adalind . . . but he has to get her to swallow his (a Grimm’s) blood!

Also going on, Captain Renard killed some guys, and Hank and Nick ended up on this investigation. Nick was getting too close to the truth about Renard, which we still don’t know! It’s clear he’s a monster at this point, but what kind, and what his game in we still haven’t been clued in on. Renard is working with Adalind’s mother (“True Blood’s” Jessica Tuck), but we don’t really know what they are up to. It seems they are after a key, a key Nick unknowingly has that is attached to this medallion his aunt gave him after she was attacked. All we know is Captain Renard has realized Nick is a far more formidable Grimm then he ever thought.

Adalind is set out on a mission to try and take Nick out and get said key, but she fails. He gets her to bite him, thereby taking in his blood. This cures Hank, but strips Adalind of her powers. WOW! This was something we didn’t know until now, that the Grimm’s blood could take away the monsters powers.

All in all, a great episode!
