Ginnifer Goodwin (Snow/Mary Margaret) revealed to Hollywood Life a juicy tidbit about Season 2. Both she and David/Charming will remember that Emma is their daughter. Whether Emma will believe it is not yet known. She also revealed all the fairytale characters will remember their old lives, but their new lives as well!
There has been a lot of talk that “Grimm’s” second season would premier earlier than other shows. As it turns out, this is half true. NBC plans to show the season premier almost a month early, right after the conclusion of the Summer Olympics. “Grimm’s” second season premier will air on Monday, August 13th at 10pm. It will later return to its regular Friday 9pm slot on September 14th.
“Parenthood’s” new season will begin on Tuesday, September the 11th. Prior to it is the comedy “The New Normal” from “Glee” creator Ryan Murphy.
Also NBC has announced that the new J.J. Abrams show “Revolution” will premier on Monday, September 17th at 10pm. This is one of the other new NBC shows I am looking forward too.
According to the Hollywood Reporter Robert Patrick (of “Terminator 2” fame) will be playing Alcide’s father this season on “True Blood.” Jackson Herveaux will first appear in the 9th episode of the season, which airs August 5th. The episode is partly a flashback episode about Alcide and Debbie as teenagers. We will learn about Jackson’s past with Eric.
So last night was the two hour (i.e. two back to back episode) premier of the “Dallas” reboot on TNT. Now I have a confession to make . . . I never watched the original! In part I was fairly young when it aired. I mean I know what the show is/was, I know of the huge “Who shot J.R.” story, and the shower sequence . . . but I never watched it. Fortunately my partner John did, and he’s basically why I’m watching it now. That and nothing else is on as it’s summer.
I will say, I loved the pilot! John Ross III is such an ass! I could definitely see them trying to play up a “Who Shot John Ross” storyline . . . but I don’t think they should pull that card just yet.
Who sent the email to Elena breaking off the wedding between her and Christopher? Both Christopher and John Ross said they did not do it. It seems obvious that John Ross was always in love with her . . . which makes me think either J.R. did it, or his mother did it, in order to try and make him happy. I hope Bobby didn’t do it!
Will Bobby decide to not sell South Fork before it’s too late and J.R. and John Ross end up battling over it? I loved the twist at the end of the episode where J.R. found out that John Ross was coning him and trying to get South Fork for himself.
I loved the whole 2 hours and 20 minutes I have to say. There was so much in here that I can’t even begin to recap it all. Oh, the only thing I just can’t accept is that Jesse Metcalf is some geological genius! I still see him as Miguel on “Passions” or John on “Desperate Housewives!”
In the latest episode the girls began getting presents from the new “A,” and by presents I mean things from Alison’s coffin . . . Emily was given a necklace, which had human teeth mixed in between the beads. Before they could confirm it was real, it accidentally got dropped and flushed down the toilet. Later Aria found and earring in her locker, one of a pair that she put in Alison’s coffin before it was burried . . .
We found out a little about the earring when Meredith, the woman her father had the affair with, showed back up. She’s applying for a job at the high school, with really upset Aria. Years back Aria and Alison went to her dad’s office to try and find something on the woman her dad was seeing. Alison found, so she said, a pair of earrings in between the couch cushions. It looked like she produced them via slight of hand to me. Aria and Alison trashed the office to make it look like Meredith, the woman scorned, did it. It had the desired effect, her dad cut all ties with Meredith back then.
Feeling guilty, Aria confessed the truth to her dad after all these years, and he made her tell Meredith. When she did, and she went to give her the earring back . . . Meredith said it wasn’t hers. So again, did Alison plant the earrings? Were they hers, or is/was there another woman in Byron’s life? I’m going with Alison did it . . . but why? Was he one of her older men?
Spencer continued to see Garrett, until her mom found out and blew up, forbidding her to see him anymore. Later though she snuck in to see him, only to find that her mother took his case and he won’t talk to her anymore. Spencer was dumbstruck, she never even got the chance to ask her mom to be his lawyer!
Meanwhile Hannah continued to visit Mona, who eventually spoke and said “You’ve been getting the texts again . . . ” In the previews it turns out Mona’s catatonic state has been a con all along. That one was easy to guess. I still wonder if Ren is on the “A-team.” Melissa is also nowhere to be found at the moment, nobody has heard from her in a while.
Emily had missed a month of school and is behind. There is a threat hanging over her that they may hold her back. Aria convinced her to have Ezra tutor her to catch up. She had to take a make-up test, during which she had flashbacks to the night at the grave. It appeared she didn’t finish the test, even flunking it? However when Ezra asked Aria’s mom, she coldly told him that Emily did fine, amazing in fact. Was she lying to him to get him out of her face, or is she covering for Emily? Or did somehow Emily really do well?
Emily told the girls what she remembered, it was Jenna driving her to the grave site! From her memories it seems someone else was with Jenna in the car as she was talking to someone, but from her vantage point all Emily could see was Jenna. Spencer was also wondering if Jenna could see, after Toby found she was still taking prescription eye drops that she shouldn’t need if the surgery failed. The girls set a trap in the bathroom for Jenna, and she took the bait. They learned she can see, but she doesn’t know they know. They plan to use this to their advantage . . .
Quick thoughts on both shows . . .
Drop Dead Diva
I’m still not warming up to Jane’s new guardian angel Luke. I hate that even though Grayson suspects Jane is Deb, that she still can’t tell him, and Luke is doing everything to make sure Grayson doesn’t find out. Boo! As much as I like Owen, it’s time for Jane and Grayson to hook up! I felt so bad for them both last night, and Luke was just grinning like a little devil because he kept them apart.
I have a feeling that Kim Kardashian’s character may turn out to be a con-artist. I don’t believe she’s a new addition to the show, just a temporary guest star. So she’s eventually going to leave, probably trying to take Stacy’s “Pake” business with her.
I am enjoying Parker and Kim working together again. We learned that Parker’s ex ran off with the son he just learned about, and they are no where to be found. Poor Parker! I’m guessing we’ll eventually see the return of Brandy and the boy at some point.
The Client List
Riley’s doctor date sure turned out to be a dud, and it only sent her straight into Evan’s arms. As I called it, the moment they kissed is when Kyle showed back up. That was just way too predictable. I’m shocked they brought him back so soon. Perhaps they weren’t sure of a second season initially? Things will sure get complicated now for Riley with two brothers fighting over her.
Daniel from “Ugly Betty” showed up as a city councilman with big ambitions. He was dating Deanne on the side. She’s already married, tried to break it off with him, but he wouldn’t take no and started to get rough. Georgia fired Deanne for breaking the rules and putting them all in hot water, as the councilman was threatening Georgia. When she turned to her friend on the force, there was nothing he could do. He was already in the councilman’s pocket! The councilman got him a promotion . . . and plans to teach “that woman” a lesson. I assumed he meant Georgia, but could he really mean Deanne?
Uh oh! Next week is the season finale, and it looks like things are going to get ugly all around. I wouldn’t be shocked if we saw the business being shut down by Georgia herself in order to protect everyone involved. That would like Riley in a huge pickle.
Army Wives returns at 9pm on June 24th. It will be paired up with “Drop Dead Diva” on Sundays (moving to 10pm after “The Client List” season finale airs).

June 24th – “Fatal Reaction”
Claudia joy has a close call before recovering from surgery. David could get in big trouble for communicating with his father without Joan and Roland knowing about it. Gloria and Hector continual arguing over whether she should even have a job at The Hump Bar, leading her husband to make a bad decision. Two Army wives may regret taking a beach vacation.
“True Blood” is back and I can’t be happier! The big question going into this season was what would happen to Tara. We got the answer fairly quickly when Lafayette convinced Sookie to bury her with Pam and turn her. However given she was missing half her brain, there was no telling what might happened. At the very end, Pam dug her way out. However it appeared Tara was a goner. At that moment I really thought they were going to make her return as a ghost, an idea I really hated. Suddenly she jumped out of the ground and attacked Sookie! Holy crap that scene was insane! In the previews it seems that Tara is nothing more than a drone. Is she a brainless vampire who can’t think? Can she even talk? I can’t imagine Tara not opening her mouth and having wise cracks coming out.
Pam completely stole the show with all her lines, most fairly dirty such as “f*cktarded” and Sookie and her super-sn@tch. I love Pam! I do, however, wonder how she’ll collect on what Sookie owes her. Be afraid Sookie!
Bill and Eric got themselves taken prisoner by The Authority while trying to leave after killing Nan. However one of them was Eric’s little sister and former lover, who helped them escape. They were only siblings as Godrich made them both. It was really more of a “Flowers in the Attic” type of sibling relationship. All I could think was that Eric sure got over his love for Sookie fast! It doesn’t seem like they get very far before they are caught again though.
Alcide came to see Sookie and warn her that Russell was still alive, and now free. He wanted to protect her, but she feared him finding out what she did to Debbie. Lafayette insisted Alcide just leave them alone and go, which he did. Meanwhile Sam protected Alcide, Luna and her daughter from Marcus’ pack, which included his mother. She wanted to know what happened, and when Sam claimed he killed Marcus, where the body was. Sam agreed to take them to the body to save them from harming Luna and her daughter. However Alcide showed up and claimed he killed Marcus, which seems to have split the pack. Some believe he is the new Alpha Male, whereas Marcus’ mother and others refuse to bow to him. They then began eating Marcus’ dead body. YUCK! Was it just me, or did his corpse look like he’d been dead for a while now when they dug it up? Nasty! Alcide needs to find a better pack, one that isn’t full of . . . well so many trashy members.
Jason got a visit from vampire Reverend Steve Newlander, who claims he was turned as punishment. We don’t know who his maker is, he wouldn’t say. Steve came out of the closet as a gay vampire, saying thats where his anger toward Jason was all this time. He wasn’t mad that Jason slept with his wife . . . he was mad his wife got to sleep with Jason! Jessica came to Jason’s rescue, but later cast him aside as her vampire horniness seems to be taking over. Poor Jason! First crazy Crystal, now Steve! I hope they get back to the whole were-panther storyline at some point this season.
Finally Teri’s old marine captain revealed that just like Teri, several of the men in their unit had suffered house fires. He thinks it is related to something that happened in Iraq . . . Teri says this fire wasn’t, and basically sent the guy on his way. Hmmm, what happened in Iraq?
Some other questions I was pondering during, or by the end of the episode . . .
Pam said to Sookie and Lafeyette “I’ve done this before” when they were getting ready to make Tara. Was she speaking of her own making? Because last season Eric told Pam that it was time for her to become a maker. Maybe she made Steve?
Jesus’ body has gone missing. Where is he? Is he a zombie now?
Andy and Crystal finally hooked up, only to be found by her kids. Yuck! What about Andy’s little romp with the fairy in the woods? I hope that will be addressed at some point.
Um, seriously, what is going on over at ABC with them cutting actors from their shows left and right? According to The Hollywood Reporter, ABC decided not to pick up contracts for John Carroll Lynch (Detective Bud Morris) and shockingly, Nicholas Bishop . . . who plays Delany/Megan’s partner Peter Bishop!
I’m shocked! After the season finally I thought we were headed into some kind of Megan, Peter, Kate love triangle.
ABC renewed the show, but it’s a shortened 13 episode season, much like “Private Practice” will be. My guess is this will be the final season for both shows.
So “The Liars” returned last night, and it had been several months since Mona was revealed as A, and Maya’s body was found . . . The girls all did various projects over the summer to try and take their minds off it. However as Labor Day approached and they all returned for school, one thing was on their mind: the anniversary of Alison’s death. Her murder still hasn’t been solved, the the police seem content that it’s Garrett who killed her. The girls know better.
During a sleepover with the girls, Emily got trashed, and then went missing. The girls find her at Alison’s grave holding a shovel, but she’s totally out of it. The coffin has been dug up and opened . . . Alison’s body is gone! (Or perhaps was never in there?) Emily just remembers getting a call from Spencer’s phone, and was told to come here. Spencer never called her, but indeed someone did call from her phone. That meant someone was in Spencer’s house while they were asleep. The girls have to hide the shovel Emily had, and run for it, hoping they weren’t seen. They realize this was a set up.
Unbeknownst to the others, Hannah has been going to see Mona all this time, she wants answers from her. However Mona isn’t talking. When she’s there she actually runs into Melissa’s ex Ren, who has been working at the hospital a few days a week. Hmmmmmm!
Hannah is troubled by other things, and later figures something out and tells the other girls. They keep it from Emily for awhile, as she’s still messed up over Maya. However they eventually begin to put the pieces together. The hotel room that Mona had been hiding out in, which had all her evidence against the girls and Allison, was cleaned out the day after Mona was arrested. How and by who? Worse yet, Hannah finally remembered what was bothering her . . . along the back wall were several black hoodies like Mona/A often wore. So was there more than one A? They then began to remember the black swan at the party, that couldn’t have been Mona as she was with Hannah. They realize Mona may have been working with someone. Then the girls all get cell phone texts from “A who says they are back!” They also find photos of them at the grave site left in Spencer’s car. Someone did see them!
At the end of the show, Spencer went to see Garrett in jail. He warned her that she had no idea what was going on, there was so much more. He wanted to make a deal, he wanted Spencer to get her mom to represent him in his case. She said no, but he said he knew who killed Allison . . . and took her body!
My Thoughts . . .
I was sad that they actually killed off Maya. Are we to assume Mona did it? They didn’t say too much about her murder or the case. Everything was obviously focused on Allison’s missing body. I have to wonder, is Allison really dead? Was her body ever really in the grave? There were all those odd incidents last season where Allison appeared to some of the girls, and they felt it was as if she was really there with them . . .
Jenna was absent from the episode, but I’m sure it won’t be long until we see her. She was faking still being blind in the last episode. Will she still be trying to pull that con off? If so, I would expect she’d trip herself up sooner or later.
The return of Ren, and at the hospital, is suspicious. He could be working to pass messages between Mona and other A-Team members.
There are other questions we still need answers to. For example, who or what did Allison see the day before she died that spooked her? Who was her “A.” What was the Vivian Darkwood thing all about? Hopefully we won’t have to wait another three season to get some of these answers.
