Grey’s Anatomy Thoughts . . . .

Grey’s Anatomy Thoughts . . . .

So it’s been awhile since I posted about “Grey’s Anatomy.” My apologies, I know I’ve been neglecting this blog and specifically certain shows. Work has kept me busy, and it doesn’t help that 50% of the shows I watch are now piled on Sundays and Mondays!

I have been liking a lot of the recent episodes. The fact that they are going back to storyline arcs that are carrying over from episode to episode is a plus. The stand-alone Christina episode I just thought was pretty boring. I hate to say this, but I don’t think I’m really going to miss her when she goes. They’ve made it hard to like her lately. Sure she ends up having those likable moments, but she’s just been more self-absorbed than ever before.

News broke awhile back that both Shane and Leah are out after this season. I can’t say I will miss them at all. With Christina leaving, Shane’s at a dead end at the hospital, and Leah doomed herself with all the lawsuits and complaints against the hospital. Don’t let the door hit you on the way out! I still can’t believe we had to lose Heather in all of this. I hope Shane get’s his comeuppance for that.

Both Patrick Dempsey and Ellen Pompeo (Derek and Meredith) renewed their contracts for two more years. It’s long been expected both would leave, but it seems that isn’t happening anytime soon. Of course ABC has yet to renew the show, but I doubt they are going to cancel it.

Arizona and Callie have been working on repairing their marriage by buying a house, and now planning to have another kid. I just can’t help but feel they are trying to convince themselves they are blissfully happy and it’s all going to come crashing down around them.

Alex is entertaining leaving the hospital and going into private practice. Say it ain’t so! I wonder if this is in anticipation of his character possibly also leaving the hospital? His contract is up for renewal, as are a few others . . . . You know Shonda Rhimes isn’t going to settle for us just losing Christina. Someone has to die or be left hanging on, otherwise it’s not a proper “Grey’s Anatomy” season finale.

The storyline with Lacey from “The Client List” as the mom of all the kids with the heart disease has been heartbreaking. The HIV transplant story just annoyed me. Sadly the kid in the bubble storyline makes me think of that horrible 70s movie with John Travolta.

Spoilers for the next two episodes below!
