Ghost Whisperer: The Videogame!

Well if you like your “Ghost Whisperer” now you can get a virtual J-Love for your very own. Hopefully it will be better than last years “Grey’s Anatomy” game. I love survival horror videogames, so they could do something great . . . or make a flop.

Legacy Interactive® and CBS Consumer Products to Develop Video Game Based on Popular ‘Ghost Whisperer’ TV Series

Casual games developer and publisher Legacy Interactive® today announced a licensing agreement with CBS Consumer Products that will expand their growing roster of TV-licensed games. Legacy will develop a video game based on the popular CBS drama series “Ghost Whisperer.”

Available in early 2010, “Ghost Whisperer: Shadowlands” will debut on the PC and include characters and themes from the hit television series. Players will take on the role of Melinda Gordon, a young woman living in Grandview, who has inherited the gift of being able to see and communicate with the dead. These earthbound spirits have unfinished business in our world preventing them from “crossing over” into the light. While trying to live as normal a life as possible with her paramedic husband, Jim, and as an owner of the antiques shop, Same As it Never Was, Melinda helps ghosts find resolution and pass over to the other side.
With its stories penned by Emmy award-winning television writer Lance Gentile, “Ghost Whisperer: Shadowlands” combines light adventure and hidden object-style game play where players need to help the recently departed move on to the afterlife and provide closure to loved ones left behind. Gamers must collect objects for their inventory to solve challenging puzzles while unraveling the mysteries of five enthralling stories with more than 30 hauntingly beautiful environments.

“Legacy Interactive is pleased to work with CBS Consumer Products to bring ‘Ghost Whisperer’ to the gaming world,” said Ariella Lehrer, President and CEO of Legacy Interactive. “‘Ghost Whisperer’ has an incredible and enthusiastic fan base and we will strive mightily to exceed their expectations.”

Company information after the jump.

Army Wives: Mending Fences

Army Wives: Mending Fences

Posted by Dustin on 07.22.2009 at 8:09 pm

So it’s been a few days since the show aired. I wrote an outline of what happened, hopefully I can remember all the details. First up the summary, then some thoughts.

Pam found herself a bit annoyed by the other man in her life this week, the football coach. When her son made a great play and won a game, she and him did a little dance to celebrate their victory. He scolded them in front of anyone, saying it was showing off and not good sportsmanship. Then after every game, he asked the players to “take a knee” and he thanked God for a good game. Well Pam really was having problems with all this it seemed. However by the end of the episode she basically learned a lesson, that sometimes praying is helpful and inspiring. When Chase got the call that he has to go away again, she suggested the family say a little prayer to watch over him.

Hannen and Emalynn continued to get along. Haneen moved into the Holden’s house as she waited for surgery, and she was given Amanda’s old room. Emalynn told Haneen she was sorry for what happened to her family. Haneen said she did not need to apologize, she did nothing, her own people did this to her family. Emalynn said one of her own people killed her sister, she’s still waiting for an apology.

Later Haneen admitted she didn’t want the surgery. Roland came to talk to her, he thought she was scared. Emalynn thought it was much more. Haneen had survivors guilt, why was she alive when her family was not. This sent Emalynn into tears and she ran into her room. Claudia Joy went after her and they finally talked about Amanda. Emalynn thought it should have been her that was killed, but Claudia Joy told her not to talk that way. The next day Haneen finally went for surgery.

Roxy continued to have all sorts of issues with Lucky. She was spending a small fortune on a dog she didn’t even want. The boys, not knowing better, fed him a bag of chocolate chips while trying to train him. They had to rush him to the vet and have his stomach pumped. As much as Roxy doesn’t want the dog, the dog seems to adore her the most out of everyone in the family!

Evan and Joan were assigned to lead opposing teams in the annual war games. Evan was assigned to defend a post, while Joan led the team attacking. Joan couldn’t wait to show Evan up, but he felt he would beat her easily. He made a comment, which set her off. She reminded him that she’s lead real troops in combat, he however has just pushed papers from a desk. Later though it seemed Evan took a look at Joan’s strategy for the games.

Frank and Denise decided to date again, to try and get things back on track. However Frank just wanted to pretend like the affair didn’t happen and move on. Denise didn’t think that was healthy. She felt they needed help, and Frank agreed. They went to a counselor to help them with their troubles.

My Thoughts
Oh I was so pissed at Evan for cheating! A friend suggested Joan may have set him up. I really hope so, as if Evan wins and gloats about it I’ll just have to punch him through my TV! I’m hoping he gets caught and this is the end of him, as I’m sure that’s a serious offense in the army.

Poor Lucky, all he wants to do is love Roxy, but she’s not melting. Something is going to happen though that will endear Roxy to Lucky I bet. He’ll save one of the kids somehow or maybe even Roxy.

The resolution to Emalynn’s guilt was great and touching. I just really hope this means she will stop acting like the snot she’s been this past few weeks 🙂

Big Brother: POV and On The Block

Big Brother: POV and On The Block

Posted by Dustin on 07.21.2009 at 10:16 pm

So I thought “Big Brother” was recording, but it wasn’t. Yeah, not happy. I have to basically post what I was hearing and what I know.

The show started with clips of Russell hanging out with the “Dumb 5.” This is what Laura, Jordan, Jeff, Casey and Michelle have termed themselves, as they aren’t part of the other click, the “NBK” (Natural Born Killaz). Everyone in the other alliance was suspicious. Russell ended up flipping out on Lydia, telling her that he wasn’t talking to her, and to shut the @#$@#$ up. I had recapped this fight a few days back.

Well when Jeff won the POV, this got everyone to thinking maybe Russell should go up. Jessie of course didn’t think it was time for him to go up, the others called him out on wanting to keep one of his own alliance members in the game. He said he’d go with whatever the house wanted.

Jeff of course used the veto to save himself. However Ronnie ended up putting up Jordan against Laura, claiming it was because she was popular and nice, and would insure Laura went home this week.

You can head over to CBS.com/bigbrother/ for the first “America’s Vote” of the season. We can vote on what the “Have Not” crowd next week gets to eat in addition to slop.

I purchased the feeds today, so any info (and photos) I can post . . . I will 🙂 Oh, I finally have a working TV tuner again, so yeah, I can finally make snaps from programs!

*UPDATED* Mike’s Bride Revealed on Desperate Housewives?

*UPDATED* Mike’s Bride Revealed on Desperate Housewives?

Posted by Dustin on 07.21.2009 at 2:26 pm

Well the secret is out, and it seems we may now know who Mike married! If you want to be spoiled you can head over to Seriously OMG! for the photo of the bride in the dress (taken by someone touring the studio lot).

*Update* The plot thickens, as now it’s out that both Susan AND Katherine have been photographed in wedding gowns! EOnline has a photo of the two brides together.

A double wedding? A promo shoot? It would also seem neither brides dressed match the one in the wedding clip/YouTube video on OMG!’s page. Also note in this photo Katherine/Dana Delaney is wearing a dress different than the one OMG! snapped earlier (it looks like Terri Hatcher is wearing that one in this photo).

The plot thickens 🙂

True Blood: Adventures In Dallas Continue

True Blood: Adventures In Dallas Continue

Posted by Dustin on 07.20.2009 at 9:06 pm

So last night on “True Blood” the adventures in Dallas continued, with Sookie meeting Barry, the bell boy at the vampire hotel. Barry wasn’t as good at controlling his telepathic powers and so Sookie offered to help, but he refused. He seemed very afraid of something or someone, and later quit working at the hotel and vanished.

Eric, Bill and Sookie went to Godrich’s house and met his two assistants, a man and a woman. The man was a huge hulk of a guy who wanted to launch an all out attack on the Church of the Sun. The woman, from Romania, said that would just spell “Vampire Attack” and bring a war upon their kind. Eric was furious, wondering what happened to Godrich that he surrounded himself with such stupid people who were clearly using him.

Eric had a flashback to a fight back in Norway in which he was pretty much fatally wounded. He told some companions to leave him as they tried to return home, because he was dead anyways. The promised to return for him. Godrich swooped in. He was this little kid basically (okay a teen) with a darkish complexion and some bizarre tattoos. In the books he’s apparently Roman, but he looked more like Aztec (way out of place!) or someone from a Island in the South Pacific (even more out of place!). Godrich of course was Eric’s maker, which is why he means so much to Eric.

Sookie came up with the idea that if the Church/Fellowship of the Sun did take Godrich, she could easily find out. She could pretend she wants to join them. Bill didn’t like the idea, but Sookie was set on doing it. Later that night as Bill and Sookie made sweet vampire love, a woman arrived outside their hotel door. It was Bill’s maker!

At the Church’s camp, Jason continued to impress the higher ups. The Soldiers of the Sun were sent through some training course. Jason excelled, while his old bitter roommate didn’t do so hot. The reverend kept taking a liking to Jason, and he kept ignoring Sarah whenever she wanted to talk or be involved in what they were doing. Later as Jason took a bath, Sarah arrived telling Jason he deserved a reward, let her help him know joy again. She basically, um, put her hand down their and serviced Jason while he was in the tub!

Back in Bon Temps, Maryanne wasn’t about to let Tara go. She claimed the house she was staying at, well the owner returned. She wanted herself, Eggs and Carlos (the butler guy) to move into Tara’s place. She however said no, she just moved in herself. That was the wrong answer of course!

At Merlot’s, Lafayette returned to get his old job back. Sam agreed, but wondered what happened to him. When Lafayette didn’t answer, and didn’t seem himself, Sam knew something big went down.

Later that night, Maryanne showed up outside the restaurant and stirred everyone into a frenzy. They all directed their anger at Tara, who they kept claiming was screwing things up. Tara was furious, and later found Maryanne sitting in the kitchen of her home dressed much like Gran would be. Tara told her she would ask Sookie if it was okay if she stayed just for a little while.

Daphne and Sam continued to get it on. Daphne revealed to Sam she too was a shape-shifter, she could change into a deer. They bonded over meeting one another, though she said there are more of their kind out there than he realizes.

My Thoughts
Okay as much as I love Tara, you don’t invite three people to move into a house that isn’t yours! Also Sookie is not going to be happy to see Maryanne, she knows something is up with her. I wish I knew why Maryanne was so hellbent on bringing Tara into her little fold. I will be happy when we see the end of creepy Maryanne.

Eric’s maker Godrich was very very bizarre. He reminded me of the creepy elf kid in that old movie “Legend.” I couldn’t figure out where he was supposed to be from, but I’d say he didn’t look one bit Roman.

zOMG that scene with Sarah and Jason! Wowzers! So perhaps my first instincts about Sarah and her husband regarding Jason were right? Clearly she wants Jason, and next week she starts in on how she should be with Jason and not her husband. But what is the husband’s interest in Jason? To get to Sookie still? Not sure where this storyline is going honestly.

Who has Godrich? I’m beginning to think it’s not the Church after all. THe previews have Eric’s assistant giving Lafayette a vial of blood and putting him back into the V business. My guess is she hopes he’ll get a lead on someone selling Godrich’s blood on the V market.

Anyways, I’ll leave it here for others to chime in on anything they are thinking, or comments about the episode.
