American Horror Story Season 2 Details!

American Horror Story Season 2 Details!

Posted by Dustin on 04.19.2012 at 7:53 pm

Ryan Murphy spoke with The Hollywood Reporter about the details of season 2 of “American Horror Story.”

The story will take place in an east coast insane asylum run by Jessica Lange’s character. The second season is also said to be set in a different era than the first season. What that means is anyones guess, as we saw so many eras in the first season! I’m thinking we may be looking at a Victorian period storyline though, which could feature truly horrific treatments of patients.

Also back from the first season will be Zachary Quinto, Evan Peters, Sarah Paulson and Lily Rabe; but all will play different characters.

Adam Levine has been confirmed as a character, and more recently French actress Lizzie Brochere has been named as Jessica Lange’s enemy in the new season.

Ringer Ends Season 1 . . . Will There Be A Season 2?

Ringer Ends Season 1 . . . Will There Be A Season 2?

Posted by Dustin on 04.18.2012 at 9:09 pm

Last night was the season, and possibly series finale of “Ringer.” Ratings wise, the show wasn’t the score that was expected. Many aren’t optimistic about a Season 2 pick up. For example today Yahoo TV had a featured article Why Ringer Should Be Canceled GASP! Frankly I found this show FAR more entertaining that ABC’s “Revenge!” (BTW yes, that does return tonight.)

The finale left so many questions up in the air! Bridget finally had to tell Andrew the truth when he learned “Siobhan” had slept with Henry. He did not forgive her as she daydreamed about. In fact he walked out and took Juliette with him. Meanwhile Henry tested Siobhan about the babies and the paternity test he left for her to find. When she lied about the results and claimed it said he was the father, he knew he couldn’t trust her, and gave her the boot!

The end of the episode had Siobhan and Bridget narrowly meeting. Bridget realized Bodhoway was in town to finally get rid of her, and she did not know Andrew took Juliette to leave town for awhile. She raced to the penthouse. Meanwhile Siobhan decided to steal as many jewels of hers from the penthouse to fund her (since Henry cleaned out her bank account, the money she stole from Andrew). Bodhoway thought Siobhan was Bridget and attacked her. Bridget showed up and saw someone running from him, and thought it was Juliette. She killed Bodhoway. Later she learned that her sister was very much alive, and Henry informed her that she was out for revenge. Siobhan knew someone wanted her dead, she set Bridget up to die for payback for Sean!

And then we were left hanging . . . .

Nooooooo! I cannot accept that this show won’t get another season. I hate these kind of cliff hangers. It reminds me of awesome shows like “The Gates” and “Happy Town” which get cast off for garbage reality shows. Who cares who the Bachelorette or Bachelor picks, we know they sure as hell won’t marry that person! The winner of American Idol does nothing anymore! I think it’s time to end the reality show market. Banish them all to summer when nothing else is on 🙂 They are good filler there. Let’s bring back dramas and comedies during the fall and spring seasons!

Private Practice Returns! Heartache and Hope

Private Practice Returns! Heartache and Hope

Posted by Dustin on 04.18.2012 at 1:02 pm

“Private Practice” returned last night in it’s new time slot, Tuesdays at 10pm. The show was pretty much a debbie downer of an episode, but very good.

Mason was under the impression that his mom would get better, somehow, someone would save her like they did in Seattle. Charlotte and Cooper tried to make him understand that wasn’t going to happen. Charlotte convinced Erica, who was at the end, that Mason had to see her, he had to have some finality. She agree. Mason came in, and it a heart wrenching scene climbed into bed with his mom, cried and hugged her and said he loved her, and then she let go. I felt so bad for Mason!

A patient of Jake’s, pregnant with her third child and about to deliver, was in prison for killing her first two children. She was on suicide watch, so Jake asked Sheldon to see her. He did more than simply see her, he took on her case because he felt she had gone diagnostics as having postpartum depression from the first two kids, and coupled with the hormone drugs has been on to conceive the third, had a psychotic break. The husband/father was furious to learn Sheldon was aiding his wife’s lawyer, and threatened to sue the practice. In the end, she delivered the girl in hospital, and the husband made steps to try and at least stop hating his wife for the new daughter’s sake. Jake convinced him that he needed a fresh start, otherwise his hate and anger would affect this new child. This storyline was heartbreaking too, that and fairly anger educing.

Pete and Violet grew closer, and Pete was ready to give their relationship another try. Violet, even though she had broken up with Ryan, was not ready. She felt Pete wasn’t either, that he still didn’t know what he wanted and had to learn why he left. She said they needed therapy.

Addison decided to give up on her dream of a child and gave the nursery and all her baby stuff to Amelia. Amelia was still hesitant to have the ultrasound, but by the end of the show agreed. She told Sheldon, who couldn’t be there for her . . . he had to leave town to deal with his ex-wife. What what what? When he got the phone call about whatever issue is going on, he looked stunned. We, however, don’t know what has happened.

Amelia also told Sam that Addison was dropping the baby issue, around the time Addison told Jake her decision. She wanted to finally move on with a relationship with him, but he wasn’t sure she was ready still. By the end of the show, Sam was proclaiming his love to Addison again, how they “made sense.” I think he just wanted her back now that there was no baby! What a jerk!

The very end of the show had Addison getting a call. A young girl whose baby she delivered earlier was to be hers! The young woman had planned to give the child up, and she was shocked to see Addison in the book of potential parents. She felt it was fate, that Addison was meant to adopt her son.

Grimm: Munchy Munchy!

Grimm: Munchy Munchy!

Posted by Dustin on 04.16.2012 at 7:49 pm

So on the latest episode of “Grimm” we learned a lot of interesting tidbits.

First, we learned what the heck has been up with Sgt. Wu and his weird eating habits. Is he a “monster?” Nope, he just has a very real world psychological eating disorder that makes one eat bizarre objects. All his crazy cravings caused him to pass out, and the surgeons at the hospital removed a ton of stuff that had been stuck in his abdomen. However it seems that this was brought on because he ate cookies laced with a love potion meant for Hank, and because the wrong person took it, things went very wrong. But the eating disorder is a real thing.

Nick learns that Hank’s new girlfriend is Adalind, the Hexenbeast who he did battle with in the first few episodes. She ended up bewitching Hank and Wu with a love potion, and it was up to Nick to counter it. With Monroe’s help (and Monroe’s new girlfriend), he learns he can counter the potion by disable Adalind . . . but he has to get her to swallow his (a Grimm’s) blood!

Also going on, Captain Renard killed some guys, and Hank and Nick ended up on this investigation. Nick was getting too close to the truth about Renard, which we still don’t know! It’s clear he’s a monster at this point, but what kind, and what his game in we still haven’t been clued in on. Renard is working with Adalind’s mother (“True Blood’s” Jessica Tuck), but we don’t really know what they are up to. It seems they are after a key, a key Nick unknowingly has that is attached to this medallion his aunt gave him after she was attacked. All we know is Captain Renard has realized Nick is a far more formidable Grimm then he ever thought.

Adalind is set out on a mission to try and take Nick out and get said key, but she fails. He gets her to bite him, thereby taking in his blood. This cures Hank, but strips Adalind of her powers. WOW! This was something we didn’t know until now, that the Grimm’s blood could take away the monsters powers.

All in all, a great episode!

Army Wives: Casualties

Army Wives: Casualties

Posted by Dustin on 04.16.2012 at 7:24 pm

The latest episode of “Army Wives” had casualties on the home front and on the war front. One was very shocking and unexpected!

Gloria and Roxie continued to bond. Gloria didn’t understand why Hector wasn’t calling her back. Roxie told her he couldn’t he was on a mission. Gloria was shocked, he can’t even text her? Roxie, while helping Gloria, also reached out to Min-Ji. Min-Ji’s husband was injured over in combat, she offered her a trip to the hospital he was in over in Germany to see him. She said he did not want her there. We then learned what had been going on with her and her husband. They were getting a divorce. However it just seemed like so much more was going on that Min-Ji wasn’t telling her. Roxie persuaded her to come back to the FRG, but apparently the FRG girls did something horrific to her, causing her to run out. We didn’t see what happened, but Gloria pointed the fingers at the others. When Roxie went back to Min-Ji’s place she found a car running in the locked garage! Based on the promos for next week, it doesn’t look like Min-Ji survives! Of course there could be a huge twist coming, it could be her husband that dies and that who they have the memorial for in the previews. But I’m thinking it’s Min-Ji.

Jackie was back from her “meetings” in Washington, and we could see something was going on with her. Kevin was over in Africa with the others, and she wasn’t doing very well. Eventually we saw her popping pills! I think we know how Michael will beat Kevin out at this point. I can’t wait to see Jackie go nuts and lose it publicly.

The only other story to really go on was the revaluation about Charlie, which if you read the spoilers, wasn’t a shocker. Roland found Charlie very upset over her lover. Her lover is an intelligence officer fairly high up, and she’s worried about this person as it’s been awhile since they spoke. Roland assumes it is a man, until Charlie shocks him and reveals her lover’s name is Nicole! She says nobody knows, it’s been kept a secret. Okay really? Have the writers not kept up with the times? “Don’t Ask Don’t Tell” is OVER! I hope they bring this up, and I hope there is a reason

GCB: Amanda, Amanda, Dear Sweet Amanda!

GCB: Amanda, Amanda, Dear Sweet Amanda!

Posted by Dustin on 04.15.2012 at 12:20 pm

This past weekend was a double douse of the “GCB” and I loved every minute of it! Eric Winter (“Days” and “Brothers and Sisters”) has joined as Carlene’s brother, and new love interest for Amanda. This of course has sent Carlene into frenzy mode.

A lot has been going on down in Dallas. Carlene’s Uncle’s bitter wife died, and now he’s proposed to Gigi. At first she didn’t want to give up her independence, but eventually said yes because she loves him, and he had another health scare which shook her up. I don’t see this story ending happily ever after though. I think Gigi is too independent, they can’t have her married and moving in with someone else right now. Plus Bruce Boxleitner has only been billed as a guest star so far.

I liked seeing a bit more of Zach and Sharon in the latest episodes. Sharon’s new “Jesus Diet” business is hilarious, but I sure wouldn’t want to eat some of that food she’s making!

I thought Carlene’s wedding vow renwals were ridiculous. I would have rather seen the “Star Wars” wedding that was referenced in the show by Cricket.

Cricket and Blake trying to have a baby was hilarious, especially when they had the bad reaction to the “horny pills” he got for them. Then of course Spartacus making them both hot and bothered was great!

I can’t wait for tonight’s episode where we get to see Cricket (Miriam Shor) sing . . . and beat out Carlene for the lead in the church play. Carlene is going to fume! I am assuming this happens simply from the photos from the episode.

They teased so many episodes ago that Amanda’s husband may still be alive. Was it just Ripp and Carlene’s hopefulness? Amanda seems to think he’s dead. However I could see him returning and putting a crimp in Amanda’s new relationship.

The Hollywood Reporter has learned that Skyler Day (Drew’s girlfriend on “Parenthood”) has been cast as Jackie and General Clarke’s 16 year old daughter for several episodes. Their daughter apparently will be a daddy’s girl, and has a lot of anger and resentment toward’s Jackie.

Grey’s Anatomy: It Was Just Sex!

Grey’s Anatomy: It Was Just Sex!

Posted by Dustin on 04.13.2012 at 5:47 pm

So the majority of the latest “Grey’s” episode focused on Owen and Christina. They claimed they were sick with the flu, so they could shut themselves away from the world and deal with Owen’s admission. Christina pressed him, and we learned he met a girl at the bar, they kissed, and then had sex. Owen claimed it was just sex! However Christina couldn’t help but note he didn’t even know the woman’s name. All of this came after their failed attempt at marital counseling. Christina eventually realized that he had the affair in order to pay her back for the abortion. She ended up kicking him out. He told her that he loved her, he’d always love her, and she’d be the only woman he ever loved.

Well Owen, you sure know how to show it! His “I was hurting, it was just sex” excuse was pitiful! I’m glad Christina gave him the boot. Creator Shonda Rhimes has however been tweeting about the couple. She believes in them, and this is going to be a long road for them. From her, you definitely get the feeling that like Meredith and Derrick, they will find their way back to one another. It will just probably take a lot of time.

With Owen sick, Mark Sloan became the acting Chief of Surgery. He of course let it go to his head a bit, and it took the old Chief to bring him back down to earth. I loved that!

Arizona and Callie lured Bailey into a girls night with Teddy, but it seemed like none of them relished the idea of spending a whole night holding her hand, drinking and watching movies. Especially not Bailey, who was giving up a night with Ben for it. I have to wonder where things will go for Teddy now. Will they continue to play out the widow thing, or will she meet a new man soon? If so, who? They’d have to bring in someone new at this point, unless she went for Avery? But I feel like Avery and April might end up together.

Finally by the end of the show Meredith organized a study group for all the residents who had their boards coming up, because at this point none of them had been studying, and they were all afraid they’d fail. I’m wondering if the show plans to fail one of them? Or would that be too much like what they did to George several seasons ago?

The Client List Premiers

The Client List Premiers

Posted by Dustin on 04.11.2012 at 8:28 pm

So Lifetime’s new show “The Client List” premiered this sunday after “Army Wives” and apparently pulled in huge ratings for the network. I guess we can assume they have another hit?

The series is based on a Lifetime Movie, which I’m afraid to say that I never saw. After watching the show, I now want to see it. The show stars Jennifer Love Hewitt as Texas mom and wife. Her husband has been out of work, and on a friend’s suggestion she applies to work at a massage parlor run by Loretta Devine (“Grey’s Anatomy’s” Adele). She soon learns it offer’s “extras” to some special clients on a special list. When her husband up and just leaves her, Jennifer’s character is faced with losing everything. She then begins doing the extras to make ends meet. The very end of the pilot, when she thought she had things going in a positive direction (well financially at least). . . her missing husband calls.

I did like the show. I’m not sure where in the hell they will take the story, but I liked it. It became clear something began to bubble up with her brother-in-law during the episode, who felt bad that his low life brother left her. He also suspected her job but not be on the up-n-up as well.

I enjoyed it enough that I plan to keep tuning in. I also plan to FINALLY add “Drop Dead Diva” to my show list on the blog this summer when it begins. I’ve been watching it, I just never had time to comment on it before.
