The Client List Season 2 Thoughts So Far

The Client List Season 2 Thoughts So Far

Posted by Dustin on 03.18.2013 at 2:16 pm

So I have been enjoying season 2 of “The Client List” so far, but wonder if some stories are moving a little too fast. Kyle has returned and is in all sorts of trouble with the law. We learned he had a drug problem, he got in deep, and left because of that and to make money to pay back money he owed as well as get clean. However the work he got into was not legit, he was trafficking stolen goods, money is missing, and now he’s in jail. Reilly is working on trying to save his ass, but he’s not making it easy. The cops want him to turn evidence on the people he was working for, but he won’t for some reason. The cops think he’s hid the stolen goods with Reilly, and that she may be in on his plan.

The money did finally turn up, Kyle had someone send it to Reilly. Now she’s really involved, but wants to turn it in. He said if she did that then she’d be sending their kids dad to jail for sure. I don’t know why she doesn’t turn it in and just be done with this dip wad, who is not good for her. She’s got her own illegal activities going on, she doesn’t need to add to them!

On top of all that trouble, Reilly has gone and decided to by the struggling “Rub” from Georgia. Georgia met a man she wants to settle down with, without the lies of “The Rub” which destroyed her first marriage. I think this is the last thing Reilly needs to be doing right now when her finances are going to be watched like a hawk.

Half the girls from Season 1 quit the business after Kyle was arrested there in the season opener. They feared the truth being found out. It’s basically just Selena and Reilly now, and this week she began hiring new girls. The first was a young girl named Nikki who was struggling to pay her tuition. But can she trust all these new hires, or will they bring her down?

Somehow I don’t see Reilly managing to buy “The Rub.” I think Georgia will end up back there sooner or later.

Army Wives: Meet The New Wives!

Army Wives: Meet The New Wives!

Posted by Dustin on 03.17.2013 at 11:06 pm

The second part of the two-parter season seven premier aired tonight, which finally introduced us to the new wives, while saying goodbye to others.

Denise, Pamela, Roxy, Roland, Emmalynn and Michael gathered to say goodbye to Claudia Joy. As requested, no big service was held, nobody wore black. They said goodbye, reading a letter she wrote just in case, and spread her ashes into the water.

Shortly after the funeral Pamela had to hop a plane back to L.A., while Roxy stuck around a little longer. By the end though she too had to go. Trevor is apparently still driving across South Dakota with the boys.

Denise and Roxy helped Michael and Emmalynn deal with things. Emmalynn once again wanted to take a semester off, much as she did before with Claudia Joy and her many health scares, but Michael wouldn’t have it. He sent her back to college by the end of the episode.

Throughout the episode we met the new batch of wives. First there was the very young Holly. She’s 18, just married, and her husband is in Afganistan. She shows up at The Hump with a home baked pie hoping they might want to sell them. Gloria gives her the cold shoulder, saying they don’t do desserts, but takes it to basically get rid of her. It’s Roxy who later eats it and decides to have her bake their desserts as it’s the best pie she’s ever eaten.

Maggie (Melissa from Pretty Little Liars) is a hard-ass retired Airborne Ranger who is newly married to an Army Staff Sergeant who apparently has some blemishes on his record. They each come to the marriage with two kids. They’ve been stuck in a one room hotel because the base housing is backed up due to the air force and army bases mergers. She goes to a town hall meeting, run by Jackie, to complain about this.

At the meeting is also Latasha. She comes off as a very well dressed, and clearly pampered wife in some respects. She’s at the town hall to complain about how long it takes dropping her kids off at school because the base doesn’t have enough personel to keep one of the gates open, which would make her commute easier. She thinks someone can volunteer for the rush hour to do it!

Latasha and Maggie end up going to The Hump together to get some drinks after they think their complaining has fallen on deaf ears. At the bar Holly is enjoying herself with some root beer and the juke box when some truckers hit on her and won’t take no for an answer. Maggie comes to her aid, a fight breaks out, and all the wives (Gloria and Roxy included) wind up in the hospital where Denise is the nurse! She wonders what went on.

Elsewhere, Roland gets a job offer at John’s Hopkins and plans to move himself and the kids there. It’s only temporary, and he’d be back before Joan’s current tour ends. She wasn’t initially happy about it, but agrees to let him do this as he is the one on the homefront and not her.

Next week the new and old wives are brought closer by news of an explosion over in Afganistan that rocks the base their men are at.

Once Upon A Time: Welcome To Storybrooke!

Once Upon A Time: Welcome To Storybrooke!

Posted by Dustin on 03.17.2013 at 8:14 pm

Tonight’s episode was a backstory as to how things first were when Regina created Storybrooke 28 years ago.

The show opened with a young boy and his dad camping in the woods. Suddenly there was a rustle in the trees . . . magic was coming! The boys name was Owen, he was a big star wars fan, as he mentions the colors of lightsabers . . . I think we now know who the stranger who just came to town is! Remember he had the Star Wars theme on his phone?

The next day after the storm was over, suddenly a town was set up in the middle of no where. Sheriff Graham greeted them and welcomed them to Storybrooke . . .

Regina woke in her bed in her new house and in her new town. She realized she had done it. She had enacted the curse. Regina walked around town and reveled in what she did. She met everyone, including the two new strangers in town. She invited them to her house for dinner to find out who they were since she didn’t know them.

In the present, Regina vowed to kill Snow, but Gold warned her not to do this, as it would cost her everything, including Henry. She said she would get her revenge . . . all of it! Gold then promptly warned the others. I guess Queen Know-It-All still has no idea who Henry’s family fully includes.

At Granny’s Diner, Neil and Emma talked about keeping Henry safe from Regina. Neil wanted to take him to New York, but Henry thought they should find a way to get rid of magic. Henry went to the bathroom while at the diner, and gave Neil the slip. Emma was off talking the the mysterious stranger at the time. When she returned and found Henry gone she couldn’t believe he was so naive! Meanwhile the mysterious stranger decided to take a hike into the wilderness.

Back in the past, Regina used the Sheriff’s heart to control him and have him detain the strange man and his son. So now we know how she controlled the sheriff! She talked into it to make him do her bidding.

Henry met up with the mysterious stranger in the woods. It seems Mr. Mystery went to where the boy and his dad were camping. Meanwhile Emma and Neil found that Henry had taken some dynamite from the mines to apparently try and blow up the source of magic?

The older guy called Regina to say he had seen a young boy up in the woods . . . To lure her out there? In the past we saw the young boy and man being chased out of town by the Sheriff. The man sent his son to run as he fought the Sheriff. The dad told the boy to run and not stop, but Regina showed up. She tried to entice him to stay, but he wouldn’t and ran off as Regina watched.

Meanwhile in the present Regina found Henry at the well trying to blow it up. She told him that he’d just get himself killed. He knew of her plan for a new curse, he didn’t want her to go through with her plan to kill Mary Margaret, to make him love her, it would be magic and a fake. Emma, Neil and Charming showed up to stop her as well. Henry came between Regina and the others before it became a blood bath. Henry said magic was the problem, they had to destroy it before it destroys them all.

In the past, the boy brought cops back to where he was when he last saw his dad, the town limits. However they never heard of Storybrooke nor could they get to the town. The boy said he would one day find his dad. Regina was at the town limits where they were as well, but he and the cops couldn’t see her. The magic shielded her from them. Regina seemed, for a moment, touched by the poor boy. She even cried a tear!

At the end Mary Margaret went to Regina and offered herself up to end the feud. She told Regina to just kill her before anyone else dies. Regina said Henry would never forgive her, but she never learns from her mistakes. Regina then took Snow’s heart! In her heart was a little spot of blackness! Regina told Snow that she’s darkened her heart, and it will just keep growing stronger and darker. Snow told her to crush it, but Regina said she’d rather watch Snow destroy herself and her family along the way. Regina said then Henry would be hers! Regina then gave Snow her heart back, as she knew she could have everything after all!

The last scene was the mysterious stranger, who it was confirmed was the little boy, vowing to find his dad.

So where is this boys dad? Where is he being kept? In the hospital where Belle was? Will he be the same age as he last was? Or as an outsider will he have aged?

As for Snow’s heart, oh my. Does this mean we will watch her become evil like Regina too? I think that might be too much for me.

Pretty Little Liars Winter Finale Approaches!

Pretty Little Liars Winter Finale Approaches!

Posted by Dustin on 03.17.2013 at 4:54 pm

This week is the winter finale of “Pretty Little Liars,” which should have a shocking reveal if past season finale’s are to be followed. My guess is the identity of “Red.”

I fell behind in posting on the show because I missed one week and had to play catch up, and also because things just got complicated! I mean Toby and the scummy cop have gone from dead one week, to not dead the next, and now it seems Toby is dead again? Ahhhh!

Spencer got herself locked up in the sanitarium, and for a 72 hour psych evaluation or whatever she got put in there for, she’s been there a long time! She’s been snooping and learned that Melissa’s ex-fiance Ren, who works there, seems to be the one who let Mona out and visitors in. Spencer got a visit from the ghost of Alison helping her to much needed clues. That ghost sure gets around . . .

Caleb’s real dad got a job at the church, thank’s to Hanna’s mom, but then it seems a bell he sent off for repairs came back as a fake . . . and 8000 dollar bell! Caleb thought his dad was still a crook, but in the end Hannah and Caleb found out that -A set daddy up!

Aria also got setup by -A when someone pretending to be her picked Ezra’s kid up from karate practice and took him to a carnival. Okay this kids mom went all nuts on Aria because he hurt himself while disobeying Aria while she was watching him, and now he goes off with a complete stranger? I think we found the problem here . . . When she finally found him, the kid said he went with Aria’s friend Alison! Aria ended up dumping Ezra out of fear that -A could hurt him or his son.

All in all, they definitely seem to be hinting that Alison is not dead, and she could be “Red.” This week should be good!

Grey’s Anatomy: Seattle Grace Is No More . . .

Grey’s Anatomy: Seattle Grace Is No More . . .

Posted by Dustin on 03.16.2013 at 6:17 pm

So the latest episode of “Grey’s Anatomy” had the doctors all arguing over the hospital and how it should be run. Nobody could get along, and Jackson was basically drowning in responsibility. It was a good episode, but not one of the best in recent memory. It was okay.

Katherine and Webber ended up in a bit of a feud over Jackson. He felt she had piled too much on the boy, and he could end up breaking and never get over this. She felt he was an Avery and could handle the pressure and would come out on top. Later she apologized for snapping at him, realizing it had been a long time since she had a man in her life who also cared about her son. Neither knew Jackson was listening in on their fight . . .

Meanwhile the schedules were a mess, organs to be transplanted were getting lost in a mess of protocol, the doctors were fighting, and Owen quit when it came out that the foundation felt a new Chief should be appointed. It basically looked like the hospital was going to sink even after all the millionaires club had done to save it.

In the end, Jackson did find his balls and managed to save the day. He said they would run the hospital as they saw fit, and would report to the foundation, not the other way around. He said Hunt would not be replaced, and he suggested they rename the hospital to remind them why they fought to save it and what it stood for . . . The new name would be “The Grey Sloan Memorial Hospital.” I thought that was really touching and would hopefully keep them all from squabbling with one another. For a few episodes at least.

Read on for spoilers for the next two new episodes . . .

American Horror Story Season 3: Coven!

American Horror Story Season 3: Coven!

Posted by Dustin on 03.16.2013 at 3:19 pm

Out of the Paleyfest this past week news came of the title of next season’s “American Horror Story” . . . Coven! This confirms that witches will be the main theme, and it was also revealed at least part of the show will be set in New Orleans.

Kathy Bates will be a new headliner for the season, playing a very bad woman. Returning will also be Jessica Lange, who is playing something described as a “glamour cat lady,” Sarah Paulson, Lily Rabe, Evan Peters and Frances Conroy. Frances is said to play a much larger roll this time around. Also returning is Taissa Farmiga (Season 1) who will be one of the leads involved in the love story the season is set around.

Glee: Moving In The Right Direction Again!

Glee: Moving In The Right Direction Again!

Posted by Dustin on 03.15.2013 at 8:25 pm

I really enjoyed last night’s “Glee.” The music was spot on and I really enjoyed it, well except for the Mariah Nicki mash-up. I once again feel the need to point out that a mash-up is not singing one line from a Madonna song! As much as I love Unique, all she kept saying was “Gunna dress you up in my love, all over all over.” There is more to that song!

I love having Shue back full time, and we finally got Becky and Sue back as well. The show was dedicated to feuds and set up a few mysteries and advanced other stories forward.

Unique and Ryder ended up in a feud because he refused to call her a girl. Meanwhile Ryder was involved with some girl in and online chat. It seems he’s being catfished though. When he asked to meet her, she signed off. Who is she? At first I wondered if it was Unique/Wade. But given they already have the Sam/Blaine crush thing, I don’t know if they will do another one. I’m wondering if maybe it’s Becky?

Blaine and Sue feuded because she wanted him to join the Cheerios. In the end he lost the song-duel and had to join. However he did so on purpose. He’s planning to bring Sue down from within once and for all. I wonder if this means they’d be writing Sue out if there is another season?

Finally Shue and Finn’s feud played out in a Backstreet Boys verses N’Synch mash-up. Everyone wanted Shue to forgive Finn, but he couldn’t. Finn decided to leave, and with some advice from Marnie it seems he may pursue a teaching degree.

In New York Santana was feuding with Brody. In the best number of the show she confronted him with “Cold Hearted Snake.” She knew he was up to something, but Rachel (who wasn’t pregnant after all) and Kurt asked her to move out. In the end she set Brody up, luring him to a hotel room to meet her as his client. She also had called in Finn to deal with him. Hopefully this is the last we’ll see of Brody!

My other predictions are that Santana’s performance will make it’s way to that Nazi of a dance teacher Cassandra at NYADA, and that will get her into the school. Finn meanwhile will find a teaching program in New York . . .

Smash: You’re Hitting Glee Territory Now! And Not In A Good Way . . .

Posted by Dustin on 03.15.2013 at 8:03 pm

I’ve really been trying to like “Smash” this season. While it started off strong, I feel it’s now making the exact same mistakes “Glee” has and my interest is waining . . .

First, let’s bring in some new characters to complicate things! I really can’t stand Karen’s new love interest and his business partner. They really do nothing for me, and neither does their storyline. Which is another issue I have with “Glee,” way too many things going on. There is the struggles over Bombshell, Karen’s new side play, Ivy’s side play. It’s too much! They need to bring it back to Bombshell.

I had hoped with the way things went the last two episodes that this is just what would happen. However Eileen and her ex are fighting over producer control, with Eileen learning that her ex employed Ellis to get the dirt on her to steal the show. They reverted to an older version of the script after Julia wrote a brilliant new one. Derek quit as director, and Tom is stepping up. Meanwhile Karen was told she can’t be in her side show because of her contract, but disobeyed orders and did it anyways.

I just don’t know where this is going to lead. The show has also been bumped to Saturday, but NBC says it will air all 17 episodes of the season. A 3rd season is unlikely at this point . . .

I’m sensing that Karen with choose the new show after Derek stepped up to direct it and they now have an interested producer (Jessie L. Martin). This will lead Tom to giving Ivy back the role of Marilyn.

Dallas: JR’s Masterpiece . . .

Dallas: JR’s Masterpiece . . .

Posted by Dustin on 03.13.2013 at 3:12 pm

This week’s episode of Dallas was a tribute to Larry Hagman and J.R. Ewing, from the modified opening credits to the very end.

At the end of last week’s episode J.R., who was supposed to be brokering an oil deal in Abu Dhabi, called John Ross to tell him that he had just put a plan into place which would be his masterpiece. Then shots rung out! This week we came to find out while J.R. was in Abu Dhabi, he was actually in Mexico when he was shot. This didn’t make sense. What was he doing there? The police who investigated claimed J.R. was in the wrong place at the wrong time, it was a robbery gone wrong, nothing more.

Most of the episode was old faces returning, the wake and the funeral for J.R.. Since I didn’t blog last week, I’ll mention how much I’ve enjoyed Ryland and his momma being ditched by Emma who finally went to live with Anne. When Ryland and his mom fought and she never understood how he could have loved Anne or brought her into their lives and he told her “Because she wasn’t you!” I cheered out. That woman, referring to Emma as “their” daughter, is some crazy, perverted, son-loving-in-not-the-right-way witch! They have Emma doped up on drugs for panic attacks, which we don’t know if she even needs or if they just make her complacent to their control. Emma still seems to be dependent on them though, as she was popping them during the funeral.

Sue Ellen received a letter from J.R. before he left on his trip, along with old love letters he saved. She didn’t bother reading it, but after news of his death chugged some whisky down and read the letter. In it J.R. said he had always loved her and hoped she’d give him one last chance when he returned from this trip . . . She did admit to taking a drink at his funeral, where she read the letter out loud. I wonder if this means she’ll keep falling off the wagon?

After the funeral J.R.’s henchman showed up with news for Christopher, Bobby and John Ross. J.R. went to Abu Dhabi because he got news that Christopher’s adopted mom (Bobby’s first wife) Pamela was there. Christopher was given a folder on what J.R. found. All we know is that he ran off on her and Bobby when Christopher was seven.

Next John Ross was given a gun (J.R.’s?) and told that J.R. had found evidence that Ryland and Barnes had struck a deal to take down the Ewings together. The henchman insisted to John Ross that the police report they had been given about J.R.’s shooting being a robery gone wrong was sadly true. John Ross didn’t seem to want to accept that.

Finally Bobby was given a folder for his eyes only. It revealed that J.R.’s death was not just an accident or a robbery. Bobby swore to avenge his brother and see J.R.’s plan come to fruition. In the meantime he ordered the henchman to pay off anyone to make sure the robbery story sticks for now.

The rest of the season looks to be the mystery of who shot J.R. and what his master plan is . . . . Good stuff all around!
